Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton has secured a decisive win in California, the biggest state in terms of delegates and population in the race but second runner Bernie Sanders has said that he has no plans to quit and move on. Despite his loss to Clinton, he has secured so much support that party establishment can’t just deny him. Even Clinton is looking forward to a cooperation from Sanders. Without Sanders’ supporters backing her, Clinton just can’t win the presidency.
On the other side, Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, has won all the primaries with a massive margin as expected. Speaking after his victory he welcomed Sanders’ supporters, calling that Bernie has been a victim of a rigged system of super-delegates, who are free to support, whoever they choose. Clinton is supported by 571 super-delegates, while Bernie just has supports of 48.
But Bernie Sanders created a movement, which now can’t be ignored.
While Donald Trump has been charismatic and gained lots of media attention, it is really Bernie Sanders, who is the biggest factor in this year’s election.
Most of the political pundits predicted Bernie will end the race in California but he proved them wrong. He vowed to take the fight first to Washington primary next week and then to the convention in Philadelphia.
He said while speaking after California primary that Donald Trump must be defeated but his campaign isn’t just about defeating Trump, it is to bring political revolution.
Mr. Sanders is set to meet president Obama tomorrow.
