As expected, Hillary Clinton clinched her nomination for the Presidential race of 2016 officially on the second day of the Democratic convention in Philadelphia and became the first female nominee for the Presidential election from a major party.
The Democratic convention was rocked by protesters on the first day after leaked emails from DNC showed that the national committee played favoritism when it was supposed to be neutral and even tried to sabotage campaigns of Bernie Sanders. A speech by incumbent first lady Michelle Obama, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Senator Bernie Sander were finally able to calm the mood. However, many of the Bernie Sanders supporters walked out of Wells Fargo Center after Clinton got elected officially.
Now, the Americans and the world will be looking at battles they have been waiting for the fight between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic runner Hillary Clinton, which is expected to break all viewership records when they face each other during the Presidential debates. While Hillary Clinton has been the favorite from the beginning, recent polls suggest that the New York business tycoon has been catching up fast lately.
