Clinton is also trailing Trump in Virginia by 12 points, whereas the polls predicted 5 points lead for Clinton.
In the race to the US House of Representatives, Democrats have won 20 seats and the Republicans have won 23 seats.
Trump has been declared a winner in South Carolina.
