The US International Trade Commission (ITC) postponed for the third time its ruling on the trade secret dispute between South Korean battery makers LG Energy Solution Ltd. and SK Innovation Co. from Dec. 10 to Feb. 10.
The ITC did not give its reason for the postponement.
LG Energy claimed that SK Innovation stole its electric vehicle battery technology secrets by hiring its former employees.
The ITC's preliminary ruling in a default judgment in February supported claims by LG Energy Solution, whose clients are Tesla and General Motors.
SK Innovation, which supplied EV batteries to Volkswagen and Ford Motors, denied any wrongdoing.
An adverse ruling against SK Innovation would ban it from shipping in EV battery materials at its US factory in Georgia.
