A drone strike hit vocational-school dormitory grounds in Koziatyn community, Ukraine’s Vinnytsia Oblast, on Nov. 1, killing two people and injuring six others, including four children, regional official Natalia Zabolotna told Suspilne.

Zabolotna identified the dead as a 13-year-old girl and a woman. The woman was taken to intensive care and later died. An earlier regional update had identified the girl as a man before Zabolotna corrected it.

Zabolotna told Suspilne that the six hospitalized people were three 5-year-old children, a 16-year-old boy, a man and a woman. One 5-year-old girl was in serious condition; the other injured children had moderate injuries, and both adults had minor injuries.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) said the drone struck dormitory grounds and set two cars on fire; firefighters extinguished the fires. Zabolotna placed the impact between the dormitory and an educational institution. Ukrainian officials attributed the strike to Russia.
