SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 03, 2017 -- Vanir Construction Management Inc. announced today that it has hired industry veteran Gary Simon, Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional, as Area Manager for the company’s Los Angeles office. Randy Britt, LEED Accredited Professional, who has been serving as interim Area Manager, will continue serving as Vanir’s Chief Sustainability Officer.
“We are excited for Gary to join the Vanir team in this senior leadership role in a critical market for our clients,” said Vanir’s Chairman and CEO, Dorene Dominguez. “Gary is a proven, respected leader in our industry with decades of experience in the Southern California region.”
With more than thirty-five years of experience in the management of all facets of design and construction, Simon has led the successful delivery of capital projects values at over $2 billion throughout the Southern California region in both the public and private sectors. Simon’s areas of expertise include: hospitals, educational facilities, jails, courthouses, office buildings, airports, hotels, sports facilities, historic renovation projects, central utility plants, wind farms, military base reuse, and public safety telecommunication systems.
In his role at Vanir, Simon will lead all aspects of business operations for the Los Angeles office, including business development, client relations and the day to day execution of business contracts.

Simon earned a Masters of Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute. He has been actively involved in many charitable organizations throughout the Southern California region. He has been a guest speaker at Harvard University and recognized by the US Department of Defense for “Exemplary Work in Base Realignment.”
