Video game remasters are becoming all too common these days, which is why it’s not such a big surprise to hear reports that Vanquish and Bayonetta coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the prospect of being able to slide kill enemies as a suited-up soldier or killing angels as a witch is quite the tempting proposition.
The reports come from sightings of retail listings on Eastern European sites, including Alza, FilmGame, and EsteLacnejsie. The product listings indicate that both Vanquish and Bayonetta are being offered as a package, Comicbook.com reports. The games are already available on the PC, so this particular offer would only apply to the Xbox One and PS4.
Unfortunately, there has been precious little information about the offer, with the listings putting the release date as sometime this year. Specifics have not been provided except for the price, which roughly rounds up to $50 to $60.
As to how reliable this new information is, many publications agree that it’s strong evidence that makes the package offer possible, at least. Both games are likely going to see an uptick in enthusiasm as well if the PC versions of the games are anything to go by.
For those who haven’t gotten one or the other, such as Rich Meister over at Destructoid, this would be a perfect opportunity to get both games for the consoles. The same goes for those who have never played either game.
When Bayonetta released on Steam with the 4K remastered settings, it was quite the hit, especially to fans of the series. The Vanquish remaster is a more recent release, finally giving PC gamers the chance to rocket around on the floor while shooting hordes of mechanical enemies. Thanks to the souped-up versions of both the Xbox One and the PS4, playing with higher graphics is finally possible.
