“Rising Stars” is the anticipated downloadable content pack for “WWE 2K19” and it officially went live this week. For only $9.99, players can expand their playable characters roster with seven new additions.
As the title of the DLC pack suggests, these new playable characters are video game simulations of newcomer wrestlers in the WWE scene. NXT North American Championship winner Ricochet headlines “WWE 2K19: Rising Stars” along with Lio Rush whose real-life fighting skills is described by WWE with “blistering speed with breathtaking ingenuity.”
Real-life married couple and WWE up-and-coming superstars Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis are also part of the “WWE 2K19: Rising Stars” roster. The remaining three playable characters are also part of WWE’s NXT program namely Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, and the popularly known “Lady of NXT” Lacey Evans.
Of course, WWE fans need to have the main game “WWE 2K19” to enjoy the contents in “WWE 2K19: Rising Stars.” And this is a good time to buy the game on PC to those who do not have it yet because it is currently on sale for a 50 percent discount on Steam. Players with PS4 and Xbox One consoles can purchase it for the regular price of $59.99.
Those who already have the main game can buy “WWE 2K19: Rising Stars” separately. But players who bought the “WWE 2K19” Season Pass will automatically have access to the “WWE 2K19: Rising Stars” as well as to other DLCs released previously. Like the main game title, the “WWE 2K19” Season Pass is also on a 50 percent discount, now priced $14.99, until the end of the month via Steam.
“WWE 2K19: Rising Stars” is the third and final installment for the game’s Season Pass. It followed the “Titans” pack which includes added playable characters Bobby Lashley, EC3, and the tag team War Machine. Meanwhile, the “Moves” pack focused on adding new and exclusive in-game fighting moves inspired by WWE Superstars, as the DLC’s name suggests.
