Following the announcement of “Warcraft 3: Reforged” last year, Blizzard went back into its studio and went radio silence about the game. For months, most of the news trickling on the web are coming from rumors and speculations, none of which holds heavy significance regarding the developers’ progress.
However, that’s all changing now as Blizzard appears to be slowly opening up about “Warcraft 3: Reforged.” Although the recent leaks that have slowly proliferated on the web didn’t exactly come from the studio itself, it’s difficult to imagine that they aren’t the ones behind all of it.
This is especially true since “Warcraft 3: Reforged” is rumored to be unveiled in the upcoming BlizzCon 2019, which will kickstart on Nov. 1. The latest leak about the game revolves around new battle footage involving Humans, Orc, and the Tavern Hero Panda.
Players need to adjust to Warcraft 3: Reforged’s graphics
Courtesy of Youtuber Book of Flames, the video showed the new graphics of “Warcraft 3: Reforged,” mirroring what’s already been revealed months prior. But Book of Flames is complaining that it’s difficult to discern the units in the game, especially when there’s a big engagement going on.
“It was really hard to control and macro everything in the fights because of how similar the units look to each other. When the big fight is happening, there is pretty much no difference between any units from my point of view, and I was pretty much only looking at the icons while fighting,” Book of Flames said. However, another Youtuber pointed out that it could be that Flames still hasn’t adjusted to the new design of “Warcraft 3: Reforged.”
Warcraft 3: Reforged and the Naga rumors
Meanwhile, other leaks have shown for the first time the game’s menu, specifically the window where players would go to find matches online. There’s an option for a 2vs2, 3v3, and 4v4 matches. But another leaked image of “Warcraft 3: Reforged” is overshadowing that.
A Reddit post three days ago garnered a lot of attention as the image suggested that the Naga race might be playable in the future. Although Blizzard has time and again maintained their stance that they want to limit the options to four races, crazier things have happened in the past, and the company might have changed their perspective on this regard. Whatever the case, we’ll soon be getting our hands on “Warcraft 3: Reforged” as it’s heavily speculated it will come out in November. The RTS title is even part of the upcoming Esports Shanghai Master.
