ARLINGTON, Va., April 12, 2018 -- Willis Towers Watson announced today an expansion of the company’s global advisory services aimed at addressing risk related to cybersecurity. As part of the broader service offering, Willis Towers Watson will begin integrating IBM Security’s suite of services – from security testing and technical assessments to incident response and cyber resiliency services – to help clients assess, protect and recover from cybersecurity threats. This collaboration will provide clients a more integrated and holistic view of their cyber risk, enabling an effective risk transfer and overall capital allocation strategy.
“We believe that a successful cyber resiliency strategy must have a comprehensive approach that addresses people, capital and technology in equal measure,” said Anthony Dagostino, Global Head of Cyber Risk, Willis Towers Watson. “Recent cyber-attacks are a constant reminder of why companies need a proactive strategy. We are excited to partner with IBM to better address the technological risks our clients face across the globe.”
Cyber resiliency plays a key role in managing today’s multi-vendor, enterprise cloud environments. Organizations are looking for the most efficient and proactive blueprint to identify a starting point for cyber resiliency, respond to cyber outbreaks, protect against attacks by discovering vulnerabilities before they happen, detect unknown threats with advanced analytics, and recover access to critical data and applications.
“With Willis Towers Watson's focus on employees, and given the role that insiders play in creating cyber risk, an effective cyber security strategy should encompass technology and solutions to address employee behavior and associated risks. The array of solutions provided by Willis Towers Watson are a perfect complement to IBM Security's comprehensive approach and solutions in the market,” said Chris Esemplare, IBM General Manager & Vice President, Global Security Services.
The collaboration with IBM strengthens the suite of Willis Towers Watson’s cyber related solutions and allows clients using a myriad of technology solutions to effectively assess all cyber threats, while proactively positioning them to obtain best-in-class coverage terms and rates from insurers.
