CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 29, 2017 -- The XOOM Energy family of energy retail companies, which provides natural gas and electricity services to homes and businesses across North America, announced their efforts to further expand by launching three new utility markets in Ontario, Canada. XOOM Energy ONT, ULC will now be servicing residential and small business customers in the Alectra Utilities (formerly Enersource and Horizon Utilities), London Hydro, and Veridian Connections territories. XOOM Energy ONT, ULC first launched in Ontario in March 2017. With the addition of the three new markets, XOOM Energy ONT will be in a total of eight electric markets and two natural gas markets. “It has only been three months since we first launched in Ontario and we’re happy to continue on the fast track to success,” states Chris Phillips, Chief Operating Officer.
With the combination of the Canadian and United States markets, XOOM Energy will now be offering services in 105+ utility markets. “Offering services in over 100 markets has helped us maintain having the largest consumer footprint of any other energy retail provider in North America and gives us the ability to reach and offer more customers a choice in their electricity service,” confirms Phillips.
