One of the mysteries yet to be solved in the “Inuyasha” sequel series is the identity of Towa and Setsuna’s mother. Fans rooting for that person to be Rin may have just found another clue as Towa’s human form is revealed in “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12.

‘Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon’ episode 12 spoilers: Why Towa suddenly becomes human

The possibility of Rin being Setsuna and Towa’s mother has been a major debate among avid fans. One of the reasons some viewers do not entertain that idea is the glaring age difference between the human girl and Sesshomaru. However, the “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12 teasers seem to be pointing in the other direction favoring those who believe Rin to be the twins’ mother.

“Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12 is titled “Night of the New Moon, Black-Haired Towa” and it pretty much describes the dilemma the demon-slaying trio will face. The brief video teaser shows Towa is unable to use her sword and her hair later turns black.

This means Towa is transforming into her human form, but they seem unaware that the new moon temporarily deactivates their demonic powers. Black-haired Towa has since been compared to the appearance of young Rin, and it is hard to overlook how they look alike. There should be more photo comparisons to emerge online once “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12 is released.

“Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12 is unlikely solving this mystery, though. The trio will be tasked to face a demon named Nikosen responsible for the withering of a mountain’s vegetation. But Nikosen is sent by Konton in an attempt to retrieve the Rainbow Pearl. Bringing Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha to the mountain is a setup where Nikosen awaits to ambush them. Unfortunately, the trio may have to face their new enemy with Towa unable to fight.

Teasers also show Setsuna and Towa wearing face coverings while another photo shows Towa and Moroha turned into stone. These scenes are likely related to the senki poison that Nikosen is also going to use against the demon-slayers, according to the “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 12 summary.
