In a Monday evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said energy and logistics sites may be central to a new Russian assault, while U.S. election coverage could push Ukraine from global focus.

Zelenskyy said Moscow may view U.S. election coverage as an opening to shift attention from Ukraine, which faces air-defense difficulties and a limited supply of Patriot missiles. He said Russian attacks now span the power sector, from generation sites to the networks that move and distribute electricity.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian strikes were hitting their intended locations and called their results a “tangible impact.” He urged other countries to keep pressure on Russia’s oil and gas revenues and said Ukraine would respond to the assault he believes Russia is preparing.

In earlier remarks, Zelenskyy said Russian strikes had left hundreds of thousands without power. Anadolu Agency reported that Russia had not responded to his latest warning.
