Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently went to Italy, where he met with Pope Francis. He then gave the Pope a model of the “Aquila” drone that his company was developing to spread internet accessibility throughout the world. He also talked to the Pope about the benefits of spreading the influence of the internet further, which would only widen the sea that Facebook could fish from. Rumors abound of an AI like “Jarvis” from the Iron Man movies as well, which Zuckerberg might unveil next month.

One of the subjects that the Pope and the Facebook founder talked about was how the internet could be an invaluable asset in helping to spread his message to the world, Tech Crunch reports. Zuckerberg even mentioned in a post that he admired the message of mercy by Pope Francis.

While in Italy, Zuckerberg also met with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Their discussion involved the most recent devastating earthquake that hit the country, the benefits of the internet at job creation, and how the Italian economy could benefit from better connectivity. Zuckerberg even wrote about his excitement regarding the innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence in the EU.

Speaking of which, Zuckerberg also spoke about a pet project of his that closely resembles the digital household assistant “Jarvis” in the Marvel movies, USA Today reports. The AI is supposedly able to recognize faces, voices, and patterns that allow it to respond better to commands. Pretty soon, the Facebook founder believes that the AI could be opening his gates with voice-command.

"There's some state of the art AI in there," he told a crowd in Italy. "It's been awesome to get a chance to work with our engineers at Facebook and really see on a day to day experience what they're doing and how far advanced the work is that they're doing. It's been a really cool experience so far, and I'm looking forward to showing it off next month."
