Adidas has revealed an all-new FC Bayern München home kit for the upcoming 2024/25 season. For the first time, the club's iconic kit incorporates three shades of red, offering a fresh and dynamic twist on the classic striped design that fans know and love.
According to a press release, this innovative design interweaves dark and light red stripes, creating a visually striking effect that embodies the team's motion and spirit. Diamond shapes—a nod to the club's heritage and the Bavarian flag—are embedded into the fabric, providing a textured look upon closer inspection.
Tribute to a Triumphant Legacy
Pulse Sports noted that beyond its aesthetic appeal, the triple-red colorway is a subtle homage to FC Bayern München's unparalleled achievements, including their historic treble wins in the 2012/13 and 2019/20 seasons. The darker shade of red, adorning the Adidas logo, three stripes, club crest, and sponsors' logos, completes the kit's detailing, symbolizing the depth of the club's legacy.
Furthermore, the motto "Mia san Mia," representing the team's ethos and unity, graces the jersey's outer back neck, solidifying the connection between the players and their supporters.
Cutting-Edge Technology for Peak Performance
The new kit is engineered for excellence and incorporates Adidas's latest technology to ensure optimal performance for players and fans. The on-field jerseys feature HEAT.RDY technology is designed to keep athletes cool under pressure, while the fan versions boast AEROREADY technology, which provides moisture-wicking capabilities to keep supporters dry and comfortable.
Available from May 6th, the authentic fan jerseys can be purchased for €150 and €100 at FC Bayern München stores, selected retail locations, and online at https://www.Adidas.com/football.
In a statement, an Adidas design spokesperson highlighted the significance of red in the club's identity: "Red is more than just a color to FC Bayern München – it signifies a rich history and a vibrant spirit. With this new kit, we aimed to pay tribute to that heritage in a strikingly modern way, blending bold impact with nuanced details that fans and players alike can appreciate."
