- $1.85B fund reflects strong investor demand for private credit

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 09, 2018 -- Barings, one of the world’s leading asset management firms, has announced the final close of its $1.85 billion North American Private Loan Fund following an eight-month fundraising effort that secured commitments from 45 investors representing 13 different countries.
The North American Private Loan Fund will invest primarily in private senior secured floating-rate corporate loans issued to middle-market companies based in the U.S. and Canada. The fund will employ a capital preservation strategy with a focus on providing attractive risk-adjusted returns while minimizing volatility through strong credit underwriting and diversification.
