As one of the biggest pop stars in the world and considered the queen in American pop culture, Beyoncé hardly needs to prove anything to anyone. However, this did not prevent some publications from claiming that the global superstar is jealous of another singer for a role she turned down. This singer is Lady Gaga and the role is that of her character in “A Star is Born.”
As reported by Gossip Cop, recent claims made by Globe suggested that Beyoncé was supposed to have been chosen as the singer to play the character. However, the reports claimed that her pregnancy forced the songstress to quit the project, even citing a supposed source. With all the accolades and fame Lady Gaga is now enjoying as a result of the role, there is supposedly jealousy involved now.
“Her biggest goal in life is to win an Oscar and it’s dawned on her that this could have been her chance,” the supposed source reportedly said.
Suffice it to say, there are a ton of discrepancies with regards to this Beyoncé story that needs to be straightened out. To begin with, the particular attempt to create yet another “A Star is Born” movie being referenced by this report was the one Clint Eastwood wanted to make. The veteran director eventually dropped the project and Bradley Cooper picked it up.
By that point, only Lady Gaga was in the actor’s mind as the one to play his co-star. Beyoncé was not even considered since the part simply did not fit her. As such, the singer did not miss out on anything nor would she have gotten the same kind of attention anyway. This is yet another story that has absolutely nothing real to offer but rather, is just an attempt at cashing in on the trend carved by the film.
