The eleventh season of “Blue Bloods” is finally returning after a long hiatus. This is set to come back alongside McGyver season 5 and Magnum P.I. season 3.

New season’s plot summary

The new installment of Tom Selleck-led drama will premiere with the first episode titled “Triumph Over Trauma.” as per TV Line, its plot summary reads: “Amidst a shifting political climate, Frank goes head-to-head with City Council Speaker Regina Thomas (Whoopi Goldberg) over protests against police brutality.”

It was added, “Jamie and his newly-found nephew, Joe Hill, work together to locate Danny and Baez when they go missing while searching for a killer."

Eddie also helps a woman who was struggling to locate the body of her father that went missing. It was misplaced because it has been chaotic since the pandemic started.

“Blue Bloods” season 11 will pick up exactly where the tenth season ended and that will be the time when Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) went missing. There is also a surprising big reveal as it turned out that newcomer Joe Hill (Will Hochman) is actually one of the Reagans.

TV Insider noted that Joe’s family connection with the Reagans will be disclosed in “Blue Bloods” season 11. He was found to be the son of Joe Reagan and this interesting twist is a good addition to the story.

Joe and Jamie team up

In any case, it was Danny’s son Sean (Andrew Terraciano) who discovered that Joe is related to them. It was amazing that they actually invited the newcomer over for dinner and belatedly learned that he is really one of the Reagans.

Still not aware of the family tree twist, Joe and Jamie (Will Estes) started to work together to find Danny and Baez who went missing while investigating a case. Joe was introduced in the last installment and it seems that his character will stay longer as he teams up with Jamie in “Blue Bloods” season 11.

Moreover, the new season will open with the story about the pandemic. It will tackle real-life issues that is happening today including police brutality.

Airdate

On Nov. 10, CBS announced that “Blue Bloods” season 11 is coming back on Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. It will still feature the same cast with just the addition of Will Hochman who was already introduced in the previous installment’s finale.
