It is finally coming back after almost seven months of break. Fans will now get their new dose of adventure as they also join in solving the mystery of Oak Island. “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 is set to premiere this month and the treasure-hunting will continue.

Unknown to many fans, despite the restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the production was able to commence in June. The crew has been working for five months and the viewers will now see what they have found this time when “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 returns.

What the team has been working on on the island

When season 7 concluded in April, Rick, Marty Lagina and their team talked about going for the “Big Dig” next. This is the plan where they will go deeper and find what is lying at the bottom of what they think is the Money Pit.

They will not be using a bigger can to dig deeper since this is not feasible for the depth that they are going for. The team talked about how the vault may have shifted from its original position since it has been a long time since it was buried there.

In any case, bigger trucks and equipment have arrived on the island and in July, residents of Oak Island shared works were centered on the swamp and the Money Pit. This is true because in the teaser for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8, the voice-over stated, "The swamp becomes the focus of a major excavation to uncover a newly found structure and more importantly, to get to the bottom of why this bog was artificially modified or created as much as 800 years ago."

Also, they have widened the road going to the swamp and the avid viewers are convinced this is to allow heavier machines to pass through. Since the paved roads could be damaged with the heavier loads, the road was reinforced.

New update from the island

Early this month, rocks are being transported to Oak Island. Most probably, this is for another site as the diggings on the swamp are now over. The pieces of equipment were pulled out from the site and they said the works were finished early since winter is fast approaching.

Filming for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 may conclude this month because everyone knows that the team shoots and leaves the island before winter time. Fans can expect to see the treasure hunters in the water as they will be looking into the anomaly that has been detected in season 6.

“The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 will be back on Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. on History..
