With the end of October just a few days away, television's most popular shows are already gearing up for their Halloween specials, which usually involve a hilarious take on the holiday. While “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 6 will be following the tradition of a Halloween episode for television, it seems that the show will be bringing a more serious narrative in its upcoming episode.
According to the “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 6 synopsis, Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) will be handling the week's case, which apparently involves a Halloween party gone awry. In addition to the life-threatening event that needs to be handled by the brave women of Firehouse 51, Jerry Gorsch's (Steven Boyer) unpleasant personality will continue to grace the team's station.
Fans are already familiar with Gorsch's vendetta against Wallace Boden's (Eamonn Walker) command of Firehouse 51. The assistant deputy commissioner's meteoric rise to a cushy executive position in the Chicago Fire Department was reliant on his loyalty to Deputy District Chief Grissom (Gary Cole). Considering that Boden and Grissom are currently not on good terms, this makes the Firehouse 51 chief a target for Grissom's lackey in “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 6.
The teaser for “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 6 drives home the serious nature of the show's Halloween special. It seems that Boden will be in a serious predicament that will require the support of the whole station. Gorsch is a likely candidate for Boden's predicament. Fans should not expect the upcoming “Chicago Fire” episode to leave room for any Halloween shenanigans in Firehouse 51.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Gorsch will break Boden's spirit during the holiday special can catch “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 6 when it airs on Oct. 31, during its usual Wednesday broadcast schedule. Hopefully, Gorsch's efforts to wail on Firehouse 51's morale is ended soon.
