E & J Gallo Winery will invest $423 million in building a new production, bottling, and canning facility and distribution center in Chester County, South Carolina that could create 496 jobs over the next eight years.
The new site will also serve as an import and export hub and a customer service center on the US east coast.
Construction is set to begin almost immediately.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster expects E&J Gallo’s investment to contribute vastly to the state's economic prosperity.
South Carolina’s Coordinating Council for Economic Development has also approved the project's job development credits.
The winery acquired over 30 wine brands from Constellation Brands early this year, almost two years after the deal's announcement.
