(NASDAQ:EDIT) today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 6,785,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $16.00 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions, including 885,000 additional shares of common stock issued upon the exercise in full by the underwriters of their over-allotment option. All of the shares in the offering were sold by Editas Medicine. The shares began trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market on February 3, 2016.
Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Cowen and Company acted as lead manager, and JMP Securities acted as co-manager for the offering.
