Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's romance has been the sparkle of Hollywood's celebrity scene ever since the couple got married back in 2008. With their 10th wedding anniversary being celebrated a while back, it seems that DeGeneres and de Rossi have gone big for their celebration.
The Daily Mail recently featured photos and details of a beautiful Beverly Hills home that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi recently purchased for the price of $15 million. The single-story house used to be owned by the late actress Marjorie Lord – best known for her role as Kathy O'Hara Williams in “The Danny Thomas Show” – before she died in 2015.
According to the publication, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's new property is at least 5,100 square feet in size with five bedrooms and at least four bathrooms. That is not even counting the other rooms that the single-story Beverly Hills mansion sprawl contains. Originally built in 1962 and designed by architect John Elgin Woolf – best known for his work designing multiple Hollywood homes – the home has been updated with modern furnishing by the design firm Marmol Radziner.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's newly acquired property also comes at a time when DeGeneres – best known for her talk show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” but still a comedian by trade – announced her return to a more comedy-oriented format with her upcoming Netflix comedy special, “Relatable.” Fans of Ellen DeGeneres can look forward to “Relatable” to debut on the streaming giant on Dec. 18.
Fans of the couple may be amazed at the recent purchase that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have made but it might be too soon to celebrate with the couple as Degeneres has been known to purchase and flip real estate outside of her talk show and comedy work. As beautiful as it is, Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi may actually be ready to put their new house on the market sometime soon.
