AURORA, Ill., Jan. 09, 2018 -- Painters District Council No. 30 (PDC 30) is thrilled to announce it will award two grants to deserving North-Central Illinois community organizations this spring. The first grant will award funding to children-centered organizations and the second grant will award professional painting, drywall, or glazing services. 2017 was the first time these grants were made available to the public, and two more grants will be awarded in spring, 2018.
The PATCH Foundation Grant is a $10,000 funding grant through the Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope (PATCH) Foundation. PDC 30 will accept applications January 1 through March 31, 2018. Any North-Central Illinois organization needing financial assistance to develop a new program that will affect positive change and address a specific, documented need relating to children within the community is invited to apply for the PATCH Foundation Grant.
The second grant is a Community Service Grant, which awards community organizations with skilled volunteers for a renovation project involving painting, drywall finishing, or glazing. PDC 30 will accept applications for this grant January 1 through March 31, 2018. Any non-profit organization in need of skilled volunteers and materials to complete a renovation or expansion project that will make a difference in their community is invited to apply. Please be ready to provide the details of your project when submitting this grant application.
“Last year, three incredible organizations were awarded cash and community service grants, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going,” said Ryan Anderson, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of PDC 30. “We exist to serve not only our union members and contractors, but our community as well. Exemplary nonprofit organizations often spend money on their services and not on themselves, so we’re ready to reward their generosity as best we can.”
Visit pdc30.com/grant for detailed information about both grant opportunities and to download the applications. Applicants will also be able to apply online starting in mid-January. Winners of both the PATCH and Community Service Grants will be announced in May of 2018.
