The launch of GoPro Hero 10 Black this fall should not come as a surprise to people who love action cameras. However, the upcoming camera might be the model fans are waiting for as it will reportedly ship with the GP2 processor.
The arrival of the GP2 processor may be an even bigger piece of news than the imminent release of GoPro Hero 10 Black. GoPro customers have been waiting and speculating for years about the next-gen processor, and a report from the reliable news site WinFuture suggests the wait will be over soon.
The publication says it has obtained marketing materials for the upcoming action cam, revealing its design and initial technical specifications. And GoPro Hero 10 Black’s highlight is expected to be the arrival of the GP2 processor simply because it will pave the way for a significant increase in supported video frame rates.
With the GP2, the GoPro Hero 10 Black is expected to capture video in 5.3K resolution at 60 frames per second. Future owners of the action cam could also record videos in 4K at 120FPS and 2.7K resolution at 240FPS. The latter is reportedly an ideal setting to produce a high-resolution slo-mo video.
The introduction of the GP2 processor is also rumored to be coupled with the addition of a new image sensor. The GoPro Hero 10 Black will reportedly sport a camera with 23MP resolution, which is higher than the preceding device’s 20MP lens.
As for other features, the Hero 10 Black is also anticipated to launch with improved versions of GoPro’s image processing technologies, such as TimeWarp 3.0 for capturing time-lapse videos. The action cam will reportedly be advertised as having “gimbal-like stabilization” with HyperSmooth 4.0. The leak says the camera would also have an auto-upload function. Supported image file formats will be the same, including RAW, SuperPhoto, and HDR images.
There is no significant redesign expected this year, but the leaked promo images show the GoPro Hero 10 Black would sport blue accents for its logos. The casing is reportedly waterproof for up to 10-meter deep water.
Max 2 weeks I'd say but no clue.

There was no mention of the release date in the article. WinFuture’s Roland Quandt told a Twitter user he is not certain about the GoPro Hero 10 Black launch but speculated that it could happen in two weeks.
