“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 17 will be dealing with Andrew (Giacomo Gianniott) and a family history that has yet to be resolved. As such, Stefania Spampinato will be reprising her role as Carina, Andrew’s sister.
This development has already been hinted in the previous release where Andrew and Mer (Ellen Pompeo) spoke about the former’s father. She asked him how the old man is doing and Andrew revealed he’s stable enough. However, it seems that the character’s mental illness will be highlighted in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 17, CaterMatt reported.
Although Andrew’s dad is a brilliant physician, there’s no denying that him practicing with his condition is an accident waiting to happen. Of course, revoking a doctor’s license is actually illegal as it’s considered a form of discrimination against those struggling with the condition. Hopefully, “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 17 will explore this narrative as doctors suffering from mental illness is one of the most important discussions in the medical industry.
Part of the reason why it’s imperative to open a dialogue about this subject is the fact that doctors suffering from burnout elect to not to seek help. In fact, around 60 percent of those affected by some form of mental illness keep to themselves due to fear of losing their license. If “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 17 explores this route, then it will undoubtedly be one of the most intriguing storylines that the series taps.
This is especially true since burnout has already been portrayed by the current installment. Perhaps the most glaring release that highlighted this fact is during the plot of “I Want a New Drug.” Even though the doctors at Grey Sloan has been exposed to harrowing cases time and again, it showed that they’re still human at the end of the day and the stress of their work usually catch up to them. As for the release date of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 17, ABC slated it to air on March 14.
