Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been exclusively going out for nearly three years and within that time, they have been rumored to be tying the knot many times. Some publications even reported that they secretly got married already but apparently, these were false news.
The recent wedding rumor was triggered by Gwen Stefani’s Instagram post when they went for a vacation in Oklahoma. The “Hollaback Girl” singer uploaded a photo where a woman, who looks like Blake Shelton’s sister, was giving her a kiss and she captioned this with a hashtag that reads, #sisterinlaw.
It was said that it is also possible that the woman in the picture was Gwen’s brother’s wife but still many think it’s Blake’s sister so it was assumed that the pair got married already. Nonetheless, there is nothing to confirm that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got married so this is another one of those unverified speculations.
In another report that appeared on Radar Online, it is alleged that Blake Shelton converted to the Catholic faith for Gwen. The conversion was supposedly done so he can easily marry his girlfriend, but this too proved to be a false report.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton met on “The Voice” as judges. Many people noticed that something must be up with them when they appeared to be so chummy in many episodes. They also collaborated many times on the stage and the pair seemed to be enjoying every bit of their time together.
Gwen Stefani joined “The Voice” in April 2014 after replacing Christina Aguilera, who was expecting her second child. In July 2015, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert admitted that they had called it quits after repeatedly denying divorce allegations.
The pair issued a joint statement on ending their four-year marriage and part of it reads, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
A month later, surprising news broke out and it was revealed that Gwen Stefani had also split with her husband, Gavin Rossdale. They filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage. By this time, the rumors about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s dating and possible infidelity became more intense but they chose to keep silent.
Now both separated, Gwen and Blake performed Drake’s steamy track “Hotline Bling” in an episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Oct. 27, 2015, and that was only two months since Stefani announced her own divorce from her husband.
The hot performance made the audience and their colleagues wonder if their relationship was just all about business. Barely a month after that performance, in November 2015, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton admitted that they had begun dating, as per Billboard. The rest is history.
