Is Gwen Stefani waiting for Blake Shelton to pop the question? According to Hollywood Life, the No Doubt vocalist wants her boyfriend to surprise her with an engagement ring on their third anniversary or during the holidays. The publication says that while Gwen is happy with their arrangement right now, she still wants the country singer to surprise her by proposing.
Gwen has already admitted that she thinks about marrying Blake all the time, so it seems they are ready to take the next step in their relationship. However, Gossip Cop is here to debunk the report.
“The claim about her wanting Shelton to pop the question on their anniversary is nothing more than speculation from a site that has previously maintained wrongly the couple split up, is secretly married, and was getting engaged last Valentine’s Day,” Gossip Cop said in their fact-checking report. Interestingly, the website says it has ‘reached out to a rep’ for Stefani. Gossip Cop has as well, and when we asked for guidance about this latest tall tale, and the outlet’s penchant for making up stories about Stefani, her rep told us, ‘I pretend they don’t exist.’”
Well, this isn’t actually the first time Hollywood Life has come up with a story about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, and most of them have turned out to be false. As noted by Gossip Cop, the entertainment website also reported that Blake has proposed to Gwen on Valentine’s Day this year, but that wasn’t true.
The couple met each other on “The Voice” in 2014 as they both served as judges. A year later, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert would announce their divorce, while Gwen Stefani also filed for divorce from Bush vocalist Gavin Rossdale, citing irreconcilable differences. Months after, Blake and Gwen would confirm that they were dating and they have been together ever since.
