As Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s third anniversary is happening this month, it’s no surprise that tabloids are once again publishing speculative pieces regarding a possible engagement. The latest of which came from Hollywood Life (via Gossip Cop) claiming that the “No Doubt” vocalist is hoping for a ring soon.
An unnamed source supposedly told the publication that Gwen Stefani wishes Blake Shelton would go down on one knee this month or during the holidays. Of course, given Hollywood Life’s history of writing stories that are completely false, this narrative should be taken with a grain of salt.
If an engagement is truly happening, then Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will announce the occasion themselves. But this might not take place anytime soon if both celebrities’ previous comments are anything to go by.
Although the couple has been genuinely in love with each other, they’re not eager to rush into things since their past relationships resulted in painful separations. However, it is their heartbreaks that actually pulled them closer to each other, as Gwen Stefani revealed. The “Hollaback Girl” singer even said that Blake Shelton inspired her to write her recently released song “Secret Santa.”
For his part, Blake Shelton has also written a song about Gwen Stefani, titled “Turnin’ Me On.” Apart from these deep gestures of affection, the duo has also expressed their love for each other on social media.
Blake Shelton’s recent post on Twitter highlighted how laid back his relationship with Gwen Stefani is as they enjoyed the changing of seasons together around a fire pit and a few rounds of vodka. And it’s this light passion they have for each other that has made their romance work.
While their fans and gossip publications can’t wait for Blake Shelton to pop the question to Gwen Stefani, the stars themselves seem contented with what they currently have. The pair appears to have found the right chemistry that exclusively works for them, a blessing that is deeply appreciated by both celebrities.
