Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently went on a date night by watching a Broadway musical titled “The Cher Show.” The couple was one of the celebrity guests during its opening night but just an hour into the show, the rapper was called out by Jarrod Spector, one of the actors in the play.
Kanye West was spotted using his mobile phone while the show was ongoing and this caught the attention of the actor playing Sonny Bono. Via Twitter, the actor wrote, “Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here.”
He added, “It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much.”
Kanye West knew what he had to do and apologized for his lack of etiquette when watching shows, especially the live ones. On Jarrod’s tweet, the rapper admitted his error by responding on the thread, “the dynamics of Cher and Sonny’s relationship made Kim and I grab each other’s hand and sing “I got you babe,” please pardon my lack of etiquette.”
Kim Kardashian’s husband further stated that he and his wife appreciated all the energy they put into presenting a good show and with that, the cast probably forgave Kanye already. His representative also issued a statement hours after the incident and acknowledged that his boss really used his phone but said that Kanye was only “taking notes” before adding that the singer really loved the show.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West also graced the Versace’s pre-fall 2019 fashion show in New York City. This is the pair’s first red carpet appearance in months and they were joined by other A-list Hollywood stars like Blake Lively, Uma Thurman, Paris Jackson, Lupita Nyong and more.
