Kroger is set to hire additional 10,000 workers for its stores in the U.S. The open job posts are in retail, pharmacy, e-commerce, logistics, and manufacturing divisions.
The job recruitment details
As per Fox Business, the American retail company would like to hire 10,000 store associates through a one-day recruitment event. Interested parties nationwide can apply for any vacant roles on Thursday, June 10.
Kroger owns several brands such as Smith’s, Pick n’ Save, Payless, Baker’s, Food4Less, Ralphs, Fred Meyer Jewelers, Dillons, and more, so there are many other types of stores to apply for during the recruitment day.
Job seekers can expect to go through a hiring process that Kroger described as the "hybrid" approach. This style will allow job candidates to be interviewed by recruiters virtually and then complete the hiring in stores.
"We are truly driven to be the best employer in America and one of the best places to work, no matter your skillset, role, or ambitions," Kroger’s senior vice president and chief people officer, Tim Massa, said in a press release. "We want to meet our associates where they are and provide them with tools and pathways to grow as individuals and with our organization because the jobs of the future will grow and evolve just like our business.”
For individuals who want to work at Kroger or any of its brands, they just need to fill out a registration form on the company’s jobs page. They can search for the available roles in all of the retail company’s brands then submit the registration form online.
