“Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 7 is still two episodes ahead of the upcoming installment in the series, but it’s never too late to learn about what viewers can expect from the episode. Basically, it will feature challenges for the characters on a more emotional level. Mandy (Molly McCook) will spiral into depression and Vanessa (Nancy Travis) will also look back at her own regrets.
With the show being marketed as a family comedy, “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 7 touches on one of the subjects that such formats are often known for. In the synopsis for the episode posted over at TV Guide, it’s clear that there is going to be a mirror effect for the characters. Mandy will end up facing rejection and this will trigger a feeling of regret in Vanessa with regards to her own circumstances.
“Mandy nearly gives up on her dream of becoming a fashion designer when she is faced with rejection, sending her into a spiral. Vanessa is then forced to look back at her own career path, which stirs up regrets. Mike then steps in to help the women in his family realize their dreams,” the synopsis reads.
Family sitcoms have been dealing with heavy topics for a long time, often delivering heartbreaking moments with lighthearted laughter that makes them bearable. In the case of “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 7, it’s great that the show will be tackling one of the biggest challenges facing kids today. That fear of rejection has been observed in younger workers and this episode could help with that.
On that note, CarterMatt points out that the slot for “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 7 was supposed to be filled by an episode titled “Three for the Road.” It would have featured a fishing trip for some of the male characters but it was pushed back for some reason. There are speculations that it could be due to political reasons. Instead, the Nov. 16 slot will be filled by “Dreams Vs. Realty.”
