The United States First Lady Melania Trump is known for always being well-dressed whenever she is seen in public, from her clothes to the jewelry she owns. But there is one piece of jewelry she is always seen wearing - her engagement ring.
The First Lady is known for being a former model, which certainly translates as she loves wearing designer pieces from clothes to shoes to even jewelry. But the one thing she always loves to wear and is always seen wearing is her engagement ring. Donald Trump proposed to Melania in 2004 after dating for six years. He presented her with an enormous, emerald cut, 15-carat diamond ring, which she still wears today. The ring was designed by Graff, and according to Tobias Kormind of 77Diamonds.com, he revealed to Express that today, the ring would cost $3 million.
Perhaps what would make the ring even more worth wearing a lot for Melania is the fact that Donald had it upgraded as a present on their 10th wedding anniversary. He had it upgraded at Graff as well, with the size of the ring upgraded to a 25-carat diamond.
According to a royal expert, Catherine Turret, who is also a fan of the First Lady, Melania is someone who sends messages through her fashion choices. So, when it comes to her ring, Turret explains that Melania and Donald’s marriage is often talked about and often scrutinized, and thus by wearing the big diamond ring, she may be giving the media and anyone who criticizes her marriage to Donald “the middle finger.”
Meanwhile, previously it was reported that Melania snubbed her predecessor Michelle Obama on social media. Once Donald was sworn into office in 2017, Melania would be the one tweeting from the official FLOTUS Twitter account moving forward. As she took over, the First Lady thanked her supporters and acknowledged Michelle’s work as First Lady. But many noticed that the FLOTUS account does not follow Michelle’s Twitter account. She does follow former president Barack Obama, but she does not follow Michelle.
On the other end, Michelle does not follow Melania’s husband due to obvious reasons but does follow Melania.
