Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are divorced but they are still being linked together due to events like releasing songs that seems to be throwing shade at one another. This is true especially for “The House that Built Me” singer because she recently released three controversial tracks titled "Got My Name Changed Back," "Leavers Lullaby" and "When I Was His Wife."
Apparently, it is very easy to see that such tracks are about how Miranda Lambert feels about her divorce from Blake Shelton. Although she has not directly discussed their separation, the lyrics of the said songs revealed everything.
Miranda Lambert released the songs with her bandmates so they are actually Pistol Annies’ and were included in their newest album called “Interstate Gospel.” In an article published on The New York Times, it was mentioned that the trio’s new tracks did raise some eyebrows because of their lyrics.
Although the group members - Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley, and Ashley Monroe – refused to say who the songs were dedicated to or who inspired them, it is obvious that it was based on their own life experiences. Talking about the tracks, Presley said, "It was a feel-good divorce song that was needed."
Blake Shelton’s ex-added, "We can say whatever we want together a little more bravely than we ever would alone. Our whole catalog has been about celebrating things that weren't so positive and putting them in a humorous light."
In any case, Miranda Lambert has been through a few heartbreaks lately. After her separation from Gwen Stefani’s new boyfriend, she dated Anderson East for two years and when they broke up she got involved with the married Evan Felker. These surely leave some painful memories but it appears that her heartaches only made her stronger.
Her past experiences have taught her lessons so she could them to be happier from now on. Although there are people, and allegedly including Blake Shelton, who think that Miranda Lambert has not moved on yet because of the songs she just released with Pistol Annies, it seems to be the other way around for she can talk about her bitter breakup now, even just through her lyrics.
