‘Modern Family’ season 8’s episode 19, titled “Frank’s Wedding,” will follow Claire and the Pritchett-Dunphy children as they plot against Phil, who they no longer find funny. Meanwhile, Eric is set to stand up against his sister Pam and stop hiding behind Mitchell.
The synopsis for “Frank’s Wedding” posted on TV Guide reads, “Frank Dunphy's (guest star Fred Willard) wedding has a Roaring '20s theme, so Phil (Ty Burrell) gets his clan to show up in costume, but Claire (Julie Bowen) and the kids realize it's time for an intervention with Phil when they're the only ones who dressed up.
Meanwhile, Jay (Ed O’Neill) comes to regret mastering the art of saying "no"; and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) finally gets the courage to stand up to his sister Pam (guest star Dana Powell).”
Phil’s eccentric antics will take center stage in the upcoming episode as he takes his own family to attend the wedding of his father Frank Dunphy. American actor and comedian Fred Willard is set to guest star as the Dunphy patriarch. Willard is best known for his roles on ‘Everybody Loves Raymond,’ ‘Maybe It’s Me,’ and ‘Back to You.’
In the upcoming episode, Phil will get his wife and children to arrive at Frank’s wedding in full 1920s costume to go with the event’s Roaring ‘20s theme. However, it turns out that they will be the only ones in costume when they get to the wedding.
Claire then realizes that she may finally need to intervene after facing embarrassment for her own family. According to Christian Post, Claire will blame Phil for their major social faux pas and will get their children to plot something “funny” against him.
Meanwhile, Eric will finally get the guts to stand up to his sister, who is overstaying her welcome. It will be interesting to see how he will get Pam to leave after getting tired of her whining and overbearing personality. Eric is set to stop hiding behind Mitchell and finally do his own thing.
‘Modern Family’ season 8’s episode 19, titled “Frank’s Wedding,” is scheduled to air on ABC on April 5, 2017. It was directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller and written by Andy Gordon.
