Fans can’t wait for “Money Heist” season 5 because of the cliffhanger in the fourth installment’s finale. The plot has also become even more interesting with the addition of new cast members and the mystery that they bring.
Renewal statements from the show’s bosses
However, “Money Heist” season 5 should be renewed first before anything else. While there is no announcement from Netflix yet, Express reported that this is actually confirmed already. In November 2019, producer Jesus Colmenar allegedly stated that the fifth season is going ahead.
In a separate report, the show creator Alex Pina, also said that they have plans for “Money Heist” season 5. He further said that he heard that their show’s renewal is on the way.
“Someone knows there will be a fifth season, but we don't," he told the Spanish publication ABC. “There were discussions about it but there is no official decision as of this time.”
Definitely, fans will still see the season 5 of “La Casa de Papel” simply because the story is clearly not over yet. The drama is just getting warmed up as the story gets more intense with the turn of events.
What to expect
Express further reported that “Money Heist” season 5 would be the last time that fans will see Lisbon. It was suggested that she will die or vanish and the hint came directly from Alvaro Morte, the actor playing El Professor.
He is Lisbon’s lover and the mastermind of the heist really fell in love with her. However, during his interview at the Chelsea Film Festival, he said that El Professor will go back to his lonely life and this suggests that he will lose the love of his life.
“The Professor was a very weird guy, a very lonely guy and what happened with the band and finding love, it’s really small chapter in his life,” The Irish Sun quoted Morte as saying. “If we’re talking about the end of the character, I think at one point, I’d like to see him go back to that loneliness, that solitary life that he’s more used to and seems more comfortable in.”
Meanwhile, “Money Heist” season 5 has no official release date yet but based on predictions, it will arrive on April 5, 2021.
