MIRAMAR, Fla., Dec. 13, 2017 -- Is the winter chill already getting you down? Start planning your next family beach vacation or golf trip with friends thanks to Spirit Airlines’ (NASDAQ:SAVE) new seasonal service to the Carolina coast. Beginning April 12, 2018, Spirit Airlines will start nonstop service from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) three days per week.
"Demand for Myrtle Beach service keeps growing and we’re happy to bring even more ultra-low fares to the market,” said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines' Vice President of Network Planning. "With service to two new cities and growth in existing markets, we expect another record-setting year at Myrtle Beach International Airport.”
Spirit recently announced new seasonal service from Columbus, Ohio to Myrtle Beach will begin on March 22, 2018 with four flights per week. When peak seasonal service resumes this summer, Spirit will operate 22 daily flights to 20 destinations from Myrtle Beach. Spirit is also adding extra flights for summer 2018 season, with additional flights from Baltimore-Washington, Boston, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Hartford, Newark, and Philadelphia.
From Minneapolis-St. Paul, Spirit recently announced that it will also begin daily, nonstop service to Seattle-Tacoma on April 12, 2018. This will bring Spirit to 16 daily flights to 19 destinations from Minneapolis-St. Paul, including Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Fort Myers, Seattle, and Tampa.
