The “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 premiere episode is titled “To Live and Die in Mexico” and the title made fans worried because they assumed someone will die in the drama. Moreover, this assumption seems to be about right because the previous season ended in a cliffhanger where four of the characters were bombed while in a car.
What to Expect/Plot
In “NCIS: LA” season 9, Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) were in a car, trying to escape, after rescuing Shay Mosley's (Nia Long) son. However, a missile caught up with them and their vehicle exploded. Although it looks like that they would not survive, the latest teaser shows that all four agents made it out of the burning vehicle.
Likewise, a recent photo teaser that was published in Newsweek revealed that Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks survived the blast but they are definitely injured in Mexico. In the image, the special agents are all in the position where they could be easily killed but the enemies are letting them live. Although it only shows three people, Deeks also pulls through.
Kensi appears to be the least injured despite her visible head and neck injuries. Callen is clearly in pain as he grips his side while Sam is also writhing in so much pain but the enemies are just staring at them while they lie on the ground.
Deeks is carried on a stretcher as he is not conscious after the explosion. Perhaps, he will be getting some help for his injuries.
Moreover, TV Insider stated that the premiere episode will pick up exactly where season 5 ended. The team based in Los Angeles will try their best to locate the four and send help for their safe return.
New Cast
“NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 will have a new face and he will be in the show for a recurring role. It was announced that the former “Criminal Minds” star Esai Morales is set to play Deputy Director Louis Ochoa.
He was introduced as trustworthy, brilliant and authoritative. He is someone who will protect his people and advise them on how to circumnavigate prosecutors' interviews. In short, Director Ochoa will be an ally to most agents. Fans will see this character in late October.
“Following the rescue mission in Mexico from last season’s finale and this season’s premiere, our NCIS: Los Angeles team will face challenging repercussions but they will have a new ally in the Deputy Director,” producer R. Scott Gemmill told Deadline. “We are thrilled that the talented Esai Morales has signed on to this recurring role.”
“NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 will premiere on Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
