Scott Bakula's Dwayne Pride is an institution for fans of “NCIS: New Orleans.” This makes the fact that he was mercilessly gunned down by Amelia (Ellen Hollman) in the last season's finale such a heartbreaking event, which can hopefully be rectified in the upcoming “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1.
While fans will be glad to know that Pride makes it through his injuries in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1, his assailant is still on the loose and the rest of the team need to find her before she comes back for Pride to finish the job.
Tomorrow on #NCISNOLA, the team must buckle down and deal with the aftermath of the attack on Pride. Here's a sneak peek at the season premiere! pic.twitter.com/Oi7s6bnboU

The show's official Twitter page recently released a sneak peek clip for “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1. In the preview, fans are shown a rattled Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) staring at the scene where Pride was gunned down. La Salle (Lucas Black) and Tammy (Vanessa Ferlito) enter the room and argue about how they plan to catch and take down the fleeingAmelia.
It is clear that the team is severely shaken by Pride's condition in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1, but it looks like fans can expect Pride's men and women to step up now that his life is in danger. Fans can also expect sister show “NCIS's” Matt Harmon as Leroy Gibbs to make a guest appearance in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1. Hopefully, Gibbs will also be an inspiration and support to the “NCIS: New Orleans” team in season 5 episode 1 as they pursue the manhunt for Amelia.
Fans of the show looking forward to an update on Dwayne Pride's health and wondering if LaSalle will be able to track down Amelia for some sweet vengeance can look forward to “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 1 airing tonight, Sept. 25.
