Nina Dobrev has a new movie titled “Dog Days” and Vanessa Hudgens is one of her co-stars. Recently, the two of them were tapped to be on the cover of the September issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, so aside from the photo shoot, they were interviewed as well.
The interview was long but some of the highlights include Nina Dobrev talking about her love for dogs, her favorite drink and how she copes with a breakup.
In the exclusive chat with Cosmopolitan, Nina Dobrev showed her affection for dogs when she shared that during the filming of “Dog Days,” there were times when she just wanted to “jump into a bouncey house full of dogs" but they were not allowed to do that because only the trainers and the cast members in the scene with the dogs are allowed to pet them.
She added that that was hard for her because she really wanted to pet them when she saw them on the set. She also has her own pet dog that keeps her company these days.
The talk shifted to how people these days rely too much on gadgets. The former “The Vampire Diaries” star revealed that there was a time when she was really dependent on her phone but now she hates it when people are “constantly on their phones and not paying attention.” The actress said that too much of digital things can negatively affect life, so she wants to avoid it.
On her favorite drink and breakups, Nina Dobrev said that she prefers tequila with soda or lime and she needs to drink this concoction with a bunch of her girlfriends to cope with heartbreaks. She also tends to travel to get over it and she has been to many places already like Switzerland, Belgium, Thailand, Japan and Australia.
Now, in a separate interview with InStyle, Nina Dobrev was so honest to admit that prior to becoming a celebrity, she bought her clothes at Value Village. However, she admitted that when people asked, she would tell them she bought her clothes from Versace.
“As a kid, I remember not having new clothes. We would shop at Value Village, which is kind of like Salvation Army,” she said. “My mom nicknamed it Versace, so if anyone asked, we would say we went to Versace.”
Apparently, Nina Dobrev did not have much when she was younger and she went on to narrate that she started to work at the minimum legal age to work in Canada. But of course, she is past that time now and has been earning a lot these days. She said that now that she has extra money to spend, she usually splurges on travel and clothes.
