In terms of waiting for “Now You See Me 3,” Jesse Eisenberg reveals that he shares the same experience the fans have had for the last three years. The actor recently said he would be happy to reprise his role in the movie franchise. The problem is, he has not heard anything official yet about the production of the third film.
‘Now You See Me 3’ cast
Despite the very scarce update on “Now You See Me 3,” the return of Daniel Atlas (Eisenberg) is one of the most possible casting decisions for the rumored movie. Atlas has taken a leadership role in the group of illusionists called the Four Horsemen. While he appears arrogant most of the time, the character has developed into a good team player, which was one of the main plot points in the second movie.
When asked about “Now You See Me 3,” Eisenberg told Coming Soon that he would sometimes hear “something” from his friends and co-stars in the film series. But nothing really pans out as an official indication that the movie would go into production, he claims. Like the fans, all they hear until now is that the film is still in the works.
However, for the record, Eisenberg said he “heard nothing” about “Now You See Me 3” suggesting the movie is still not set in stone. Eisenberg then raised a very valid point saying, “I wonder what the statute of limitations on that kind of stuff is, because maybe if enough time passes, there might be a decreasing level of interest in it.”
‘Now You See Me 3’ rumors
Eisenberg’s statement is interesting, especially considering an earlier report claiming that Lionsgate has started reaching out to the main cast about the production of “Now You See Me 3.” In the same report, Eisenberg’s name was mentioned along with Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine.
Meanwhile, Eisenberg’s recent non-update update also says something about the “Now You See Me 3” filming and release date. If the actors have not really received the call from Lionsgate at this point, that leaves very little room for the filming to commence and to be completed within 2020. This also leaves very little chance for the movie to premiere in 2021 as the earliest possible release window.
