New symptoms have been added to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Numbness or tingling of the hands and feet could also mean that you have contracted the disease as per a report published by the Daily Express.
The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic continues even as some countries have already managed to flatten their number of positive cases.
Despite the absence of a vaccine and a cure, some countries have slowly started lifting quarantines and have eased the restrictions imposed when the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 a pandemic.
This does not, however, mean that you should be complacent as it is still a must to strictly adhere to the protocols and precautionary measures that have been set by your respective governments to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The wearing of face masks, social distancing and hand sanitation should still be strictly followed to prevent another spike in the number of COVID-19 positive cases.
While some countries are slowly returning to their normal routines, it is most important to continue to stay alert and be aware of the COVID-19 symptoms so you can easily get medical help if you think you are experiencing them.
These symptoms are extensive and COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Aside from the numbing or tingling of the hands and feet, there are three most common symptoms and these are dry cough, high fever and tiredness.
The less common symptoms are aches and pains, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, skin rash, diarrhoea, discoloration of fingers and toes and conjunctivitis.
And, you should immediately seek medical help if you have difficulty in breathing, experience chest pain or pressure or you lose speech or movement.
