The toxins that accumulate in your body could lead to not only weight gain but also diseases like diabetes. This, because the toxins that you allow to accumulate in your body could change your metabolism.

Metabolism has already been established as a key element in losing and maintaining weight. It is your body's way of converting the food you eat into energy that your body needs even when you are at rest.

A person with a fast metabolism can easily burn off the calories which explains why some people can eat so much and never gain weight.

Some, however, may have a slower metabolism which means they have to be careful not only in what they eat but also in how much they eat as they could gain weight fast.

There are also some activities that slow down metabolisms such as starving yourself or prolonged sitting.

Losing weight cannot be done by simply exercising. You also have to be careful with what you eat.

Over the years, many have turned to detoxifying to remove the harmful toxins from their body.

One of the popular ways to detoxify is via detox juice cleanses because it is easy and fast which is advantageous especially when you are a busy person.

You can also easily concoct your own detox juice and add fruits that could also help boost your metabolism.

Lemons, for example, are not only low in calories but their citric acids also help in breaking down the food that you ate.

Another is matcha powder from green tea which you can add to your juice. Not only can matcha help in increasing your metabolism but it also has antioxidant agents that can help your body avoid diseases.

Blueberries are another fruit that can help boost your metabolism. And what's more, it is sweet and tasty.

Strawberries are also good to add to your detox juice because its fiber content can help in speeding up your digestive process.
