Leaked images of “One Piece” chapter 919 confirm that a major reunion is happening between Luffy and the other Straw Hats. As anticipated, this chapter will also explain the graves and the real status of the Kozuki men.
After being separated for several chapters, Luffy finally sees Sanji, Nami, Brook, and Chopper again in “One Piece” chapter 919. Luckily, the Straw Hats were not in any form of danger, unlike Luffy in the previous chapters.
The Straw Hats reveal that they attempted to search for Luffy. But after getting his message that he was fine, they reunited with Kinemon. On the other hand, the “ghosts of Wano” are not entirely apparitions. But, as Kinemon reveals in “One Piece” chapter 919, their existence is also not exactly the normal kind.
Kinemon, Momonosuke, Kanjuro, and Raizo existed 20 years ago and traveled to the present to fulfill the prophecy of opening Wano’s borders with the help of their allies. “One Piece” chapter 919 also suggests that Kiku also existed in a much earlier time, though it was not specifically declared. What's certain is Kiku is a samurai serving the Kozuki clan and she has always known about their time-traveling abilities.
“One Piece” chapter 919 also introduces new faces, including Kyoshiro. It is in this part that the chapter reveals Oden, Momonosuke, Kinemon, Kanjuro, and Raizo were all burned alive inside the castle 20 years ago.
Kyoshiro and his men recall Oden’s wife’s poetic words. It was interpreted as a prophecy that, 20 years since the Kozuki men's death, nine samurais will arrive in Wano to open the borders. Straw Hats' arrival happens in the 20th year, “One Piece” chapter 919 unveils.
However, “One Piece” chapter 919 does not elaborate on the process of how the Kozuki men time travel. Some fans speculate that the power came from Oden’s wife since she was the one who had predicted it 20 years ago. In the present time, Luffy and the Straw Hats, the Kozuki men, and Law all sit down inside the ruins of Oden’s castle to start plotting the opening of Wano’s borders.
“One Piece” chapter 919 also shows that Tama’s Devil Fruit remains effective on Speed and the gifter will be Tama’s ride back to Tengu. While saying their goodbyes, Luffy declares he wants to keep the cursed sword, which is likely foreshadowing that Luffy is one of the prophesied samurais.
Fans will get a glimpse of how the rulers of Wano are very serious in maintaining its isolationist principles by indoctrinating the young ones. “One Piece” chapter 919 will be officially released on Oct. 1.
