The past couple of episodes have somewhat turned out to be filler installments. Those were obviously filled with flashback scenes and seem to stretch the manga chapters more than necessary. However, “One Piece” episode 882 could be much more exciting as Ryokugyu is spotted in the brief preview.
“One Piece” episode 882 will continue to show the arrival of several high-ranking leaders. In the upcoming installment, more notable characters are arriving in Mariejois including the extremely mysterious Ryokugyu.
The video teaser for “One Piece” episode 882 begins by confirming that Fujitora (a.k.a. Issho) will be arriving in Mariejois along with “a new Navy Admiral.” The latter's face and body are kept a secret as he only appears as a silhouette in the preview.
However, the mysterious character's wavy locks give away clues that it is Ryokugyu who will be arriving with Fujitora in “One Piece” episode 882. Despite having a high position in the Marine, not much is known about him and even Ryokugyu is just an alias. Anime-only fans should not worry because even in the manga series, Ryokugyu's identity and appearance remain a big puzzle even in the current arc.
Given these details, it is highly possible that Ryokugyu will still remain in the dark, literally, in “One Piece” episode 882. However, anime fans should still expect to learn some interesting details about Ryokugyu in the upcoming episode. One of the very likely to be mentioned is that he has not been eating for three years but is still able to maintain enough strength for combat.
As mentioned, the latest episodes have been filled with flashback scenes specifically the one where Luffy came to rescue Ace. But fans already know how this turned out. “One Piece” episode 882 will still cover the same manga chapter where episode 881 was based. As Princess Shirahoshi arrives as well and experiences the non-underwater world for the first time. The next episode will be out on Sunday, April 28.
