Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) arrival in America has been the highlight, so far, in “Outlander” season 4. But to fans familiar with the original novel series, the first meeting of Jamie and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) is a more reason to be excited about the current TV series installment.
Titles of the first 10 episodes of “Outlander” season 4 were previously leaked and it was revealed that episode 6 was initially titled “Blood of My Blood.” It is most likely a reference to an important family connection, presumably, involving Brianna and Jamie.
While it is still a puzzle when the much-awaited face to face of Brianna and Jamie will happen, one thing is certain, it will take place in “Outlander” season 4. This was confirmed on several occasions by the cast members. Sam Heughan told ET Canada that the upcoming episodes maintain major plot points from Diana Gabaldon’s “Drums of Autumn.” But the actor added, “There are going to be some little surprises for fans of the book as well.”
Caitriona Balfe also assured fans that the highly anticipated father-and-daughter encounter is “such a huge moment” of “Outlander” season 4. The actress further teased, “Just to have this family unit together in this configuration. I think it will be complicated cause we don’t do anything very simply. But I also think there is going to be a lot of healing and I think that that’s probably the biggest thing.”
The second episode of “Outlander” season 4 aired on Sunday and the viewers already saw Jamie and Claire caught in an immense conflict. Claire was immediately uncomfortable being surrounded by slaves in Aunt Jocasta’s (Maria Doyle Kennedy) plantation. But everything became way more tensed when the Fraser couple attempted to save a slave from an unfair punishment.
In episode 3, Jamie and Claire will continue their search for a new home. On the other side of the world and on another era, viewers will see the relationship between Brianna and Roger (Richard Rankin) develop romantically. New episodes of “Outlander” season 4 air every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
