A lot of details regarding “Outlander” Season 4 have already been revealed but the most intriguing yet involve the series finale and how a character from Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) past makes a surprising return. How will the latter detail affect the new life that he is building with his wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in America?
Filming for “Outlander” Season 4 has just wrapped up but the cast is not done working. They have been touring to promote the show, and in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight (via fan site Claire and Jamie), Sam Heughan talked about the season finale. Apparently, this is going to be the show’s strongest one yet.
Considering that “Outlander” Season 4 is based on the “Drums of Autumn” entry in the novel series by Diana Gabaldon, this should be expected. It’s widely considered one of the best in the book series, which should have provided the producers with plenty of material to work with. As is the case with this series, there will be plenty of drama, intrigue, and action. There will also be plenty of plot twists.
For example, it would seem that a character that Jamie has a history with will be surprising the family with an appearance in “Outlander” Season 4. This was according to Sam Heughan in the interview with Entertainment Tonight who also noted that his character finds America to be quite similar to Scotland, Express reports.
“America is a very new world and for him to find a place to settle and home is… it’s gonna take some time and there are a few surprises as well,” the actor teased. “People come back into his life that he’s not expecting to see.”
Although Sam Heughan didn’t say who these “people” will be, fans of the book series already know that the actor is likely referring to his son, William. This should make for an interesting series of events when “Outlander” Season 4 airs in November. After all, his daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will also be making an appearance.
