Emperor Jircniv's arrogant display of power by raiding The Great Tomb of Nazarick has proven to be ineffective as Ainz Ooal Gown easily defeated the tomb-raiding adventurers in “Overlord” season 3's last episode. Fans can now look forward to the fallout of Jircniv's ignorance of Nazarick's power in “Overlord” season 3 episode 9.
It seems that Jircniv is still not done underestimating Ainz Ooal Gown's power in “Overlord” season 3 episode 9. Episode 9's official preview description hints at Ainz Ooal Gown sending the elf twins Mare and Aura to Jircniv as a diplomatic delegation to extract an apology from the proud emperor.
The two elves will most likely end up fighting Jircniv's forces before convincing the Emperor to apologize for sending the expedition of workers and mercenaries to The Great Tomb of Nazarick. While “Overlord” season 3 episode 9's description does mention that Jircniv will eventually humble himself in front of Ainz Ooal Gown, it seems that the emperor is still not finished with his schemes.
Fans will remember that Jircniv ordered Count Femel to organize and spearhead the assault on The Great Tomb of Nazarick. With Femel as his scapegoat, Jircniv will be able to throw blame on an unruly count and side himself with Ainz Ooal Gown while studying his potential new ally for weaknesses.
Those who are wary of Emperor Jircniv can expect the wily Emperor to make alliances with other Kingdoms to consolidate his power before stabbing Ainz Ooal Gown in the back. “Overlord” season 3 episode 9 may show glimpses of Jircniv's plans to make secret alliances with Nazarick's enemies such as the Slane Theocracy and the Re-Estize Kingdom.
