When will “Ozark” season 4 be renewed? This is the question that fans want Netflix to answer because they are excited to see what will happen next in the series.
After the third season ended last month, everyone is already looking forward to the fourth, but unfortunately, there is no update about it yet. While the cast and the production team may also be raring to begin the production of “Ozark” season 4, they don’t have the liberty to do so because until Netflix gives them the approval.
Jason Bateman expressed optimism that Netflix will renew the show soon
“Ozark” season 4 is not yet in production, and even pre-production works have not started yet. The renewal should come first before the ball can start rolling, plus the current coronavirus pandemic has to be solved, and it is only then that everyone can go back to work.
“We’re all operating under the hope it will happen,” executive producer and cast member, Jason Bateman told Collider. “It’s Netflix’s norm to wait for a show to premiere and collect the data for weeks two, three, and four and see if there’s an audience there to justify an additional season so, I guess we’re in that period right now.”
Then again, there is no reason why “Ozark” season 4 will not be granted a pass because it has good ratings. Deadline reported that the last installment even surpassed the viewership ratings of the debut season, and the surge clearly indicates that the crime drama has millions of followers.
What to expect and when will it be released?
“Ozark” season 4 is expected to return with Wendy Byrde, Marty’s wife, getting more involved in their family’s money laundering business. This means that they could also be in big trouble with the FBI that is already eyeing them for their suspicious activities.
She even went as far as killing her own brother and things like this could happen again in the next installment. Wendy is now officially a crook and they could get into more illegal business if that will bring them more money. Finally, “Ozark” season 4 is predicted to be released in 2022.
