NEW YORK, NY, Feb. 13, 2018 -- Quantum1 Network Technologies (“Quantum1Net” or the “Company”), a quantum computing technology focused company, retained David M. Garrity, CFA, CEO of GVA Research LLC, as an advisor.
“In principal and advisory roles, David has supported emerging growth companies in commercializing their services and scaling operations to benefit consumers and in the process creating superior investor returns; as such, we are very excited to have him join us in the present advisor role,” stated Mattias Bergstrom, CEO of Quantum1Net.
“It is clear the current cybersecurity paradigm is failing as communications and data are increasingly insecure. With quantum computing advancing, one can reasonably expect the failure rate to accelerate,” says Garrity. “For a wide range of sectors from financial services to healthcare to logistics and beyond, the need to move to a new paradigm is apparent. As such, quantum encryption ought to be considered fundamental to improving cybersecurity globally.”
“Through its development of Quantum Encrypted Key Generation (QEKG) technology, Quantum1Net enables the secure storage and transfer of data and in doing so provides a level of complexity in cryptographic key generation that is not possible by current means, one that will protect data even from quantum computers,” says Garrity
Mr. Garrity has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, has held senior roles including CFO and board of director positions for both publicly held and private companies, and has extensive experience in several disciplines including operating, advisory and research, and is CEO of New York City based consulting firm, GVA Research.
David also serves on the board of directors for BTCS, Inc., an early entrant in the Digital Asset market and one of the first U.S. publicly traded companies to be involved with Digital Assets and Blockchain technologies. David consults for The World Bank Group.
During 2008 and 2009, David served as CFO and Board Director at Interclick, Inc., a behavioral targeting internet advertising network. David served as CFO at Aspen Group and was integral to taking Aspen public. David recently served as acting CFO of Mutualink, Inc., a private company developing secure distributed networking technologies to support communications interoperability for public & private-sector clients.
Prior to his corporate service, David had an extensive career in investment research and was voted a WSJ All-Star Analyst. David appears regularly on CNBC, BNN, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, Asia Times, Yahoo Finance, and other media outlets.
